General Information About Wintercraft Classes and Workshops

Location: All classes/workshops will be held at the Ice Wrangler’s “Ice Lab” in SW Minneapolis unless otherwise noted.  Specific location along with additional instructions will be provided directly to you within 3 days of the workshop.

What to expect, wear and bring: A minimum of 3 days prior to your class you will receive an email with any specifics relating to your class. The main thing to bring is your thirst for learning! Some classes may request bringing something specific and if so, this will be indicated prior to the class. In general, workshops will be a combination of indoor and outdoor time, so dress appropriately. Winter boots for outdoors along with more active winter wear appropriate for the conditions.

Safety: A safe working environment is our top priority.  Some project involve power tools or torches.  We have exercised the best practices in creating a safe environment and following directions is essential to a good outcome. 

What's included: All supplies necessary are included. Price also includes any applicable sales taxes. If there is a take-away offered for a specific class it is mentioned in the course description. Most classes include a take-away so you can get started on the project at home!

Weather: It's MInnesota!  Although peak ice lantern season happens with good winter weather (cold and snow), all type of experiences are possible as the weather changes.  Classes will be held as scheduled in almost all situations. We have designed the workshop environment to be successful regardless of weather conditions.

Cancellation/Refunds/Change of Date: Given the limited nature of space availability (most classes are small group of 8-12 people), refunds are not possible.  We may be able to issue a credit for a future class in particular situations.  We do reserve the right to reschedule for unforeseen reasons and as much notice as possible will be given. We also have a minimum number of participants for each class to make it viable and if that number is not met, it may be rescheduled. If we reschedule you will be offered a refund or can choose a credit for a future class.
