Are globe ice lanterns easy to make?

Like any new craft, experimentation and practice make perfect. I usually tell people that one can compare making globe ice lanterns to learning to knit. The first time you try it, you would probably have to pull out the stitches and try again. Plan on being surprised and all will be well.
