Field-tested, our heavy-duty biodegradable balloons are worth every penny. They are the only ones we use! They consistently produce beautiful spheres of ice (unlike common balloons that tend to burst or freeze into unattractive shapes).  Read about the balloon quality here.

The balloons included can be used to make both small and large ice lanterns when used with the related Wintercraft Reusable Freezing Base (small) or (large). Beautiful ice luminaries are easy-to-make with these balloons and the Wintercraft system.

12 Replacement Globe Ice Lantern Balloons and 2 Easy-close Balloon Clips are included.  Ships in soft pack sleeve, not in retail packaging. Color/design may vary from picture shown.

Instructions, Reusable Freezing Bases, Insulating Disks not included (Instructions are in kits). Balloons are made of Natural Rubber Latex which may cause allergic reaction. Adult supervision required. Made in USA.

Gorgeous ice globes

Took me a minute to figure them out. They are not suppose to freeze completely. When you take off the balloon water will drain out. I did opt for a 1.5" drill bit. Which I drilled through the bottom then used a small drill bit to make the chimney. They turned out beautiful. I placed the globes on a bed of Fraser Fur branches and I used 6 hr burn votives. Wish I could attach a photo.

I love the globes and

I love the globes and the method worked perfectly. I have one problem- the globe freezes to the concrete surface it’s placed on and I can’t get in to turn off the light. I tried putting tissue down first, but that froze too. Any ideas?
